This sweet family of BEAUTIFUL girls came over to Hansen’s with me for a Sno-Ball Mini-Session, and since summer is winding down, I thought I’d post about a favorite summer treat! It was loads of fun, with big sister Ava being her sweet, silly, sassy self; Zaina being ecstatic about life, which is amazingly how she ALWAYS is; and Sareena loving the sno-balls and hoarding them to herself! It was hilarious. We just looked over and Sareena had them ALL! Thanks for bringing the girls for a treat with me, Ayesha and Aaron!
I got the call that M and D were headed to the hospital late in the evening, and I headed over to Ocshner in the wee hours of the morning, once Mom was in active labor. There were still a couple of hours before sunrise, and it was very calm and quiet in the room as this sweet couple tried to get a little rest before the day began. Slowly Mom progressed to full dilation, but we needed to wait awhile yet for the baby to move down. When the sun came up, family visited for a few hours, and then hospital staff got things prepped for a delivery! Sweet Caelen arrived a very healthy 8 pounds and 11 ounces, with a lusty newborn howl. I photographed this family for maternity portraits (and newborn session to come), and they have so. much. love. Really, there was nothing but love in that room. Well, maybe some relief that Caelen was finally here, but otherwise all love!
Marin and Darren, it has been an honor and a pleasure. Thank you for letting me document this life-changing event, and I’ll see you in a week for our newborn session! 🙂
Miss Bradley was a few weeks old at her first session, and her mama wanted to capture both her and how sweet her brothers are with her at this age. Bradley is so sweet and calm, she was quite laid back for her session and didn’t fuss at all. Her brothers are HILARIOUS, endlessly entertaining, and I’m sure at least one of them will end up on a stage one day. We sang the entire soundtrack to GREASE! while we shot the boys with their baby sister. Just AWESOME!
Sweet little Conner, whom I fell in love with at his newborn session, is already nearly 5 months old! It doesn’t seem possible. He is as lovable as ever, nothing but sweet smiles and giggles for everyone. He’s just a sincerely happy baby; even at the end of the session when he was tuckered out and whining/crying, he would laugh at the same time he was crying when his Mama swooped in to give him kisses. There isn’t anything quite like a miserable, sleepy cry that keeps getting interrupted by bouts of giggling! I love getting to spend time with him!
