I am so excited about these — sno-balls are a New Orleans tradition, and every NOLA kiddo needs a great photo enjoying her favorite flavor! WHEN: anytime during the month of July
WHERE: your family’s favorite sno-ball stand
INCLUDES: 20-minute mini-session, 10-12 images to choose from at your in-person ordering appointment at the studio, and a $50 credit to apply towards a wall print or a gift print package
HOW TO RESERVE: call Olivia’s cell at 601.297.1793 or email the studio at firstname.lastname@example.org
Sno-Ball Mini-Sessions are only $99! We will only be taking 6 of these minis, so contact us ASAP to schedule your trip to the sno-ball stand for a cool treat and fabulous pictures!
WARNING: EXTREME CUTENESS OVERLOAD COMING YOUR WAY.
I just have no words… so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves!!!
Introducing Valentine’s Day Mini-Sessions!!! Whether you never got around to a holiday card in 2012 (umm, that’s me…) or you want to pass out personalized Valentines to family and friends this year, this is the mini-session for you! The 24 cards included measure 4×5 and come with envelopes — you’ll choose from 3 card designs and pick the photo you want on your cards. To book your mini-session, email my office manager Marina at email@example.com with your top 3 choices for a slot — slots are on the hour and half-hour from 9 am to 5 pm, but I will only take 6 mini-sessions total that day. I’m working at the Professional Photographers of America convention in Atlanta coming up, so I’ll be out of the office until the 23rd — Marina will book these sessions and send you your Paypal invoice for the mini-session fee. The fee of $99 + tax must be paid to reserve your spot. Mini-session fees are non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of your cancellation. This year, since the Super Bowl is changing our Mardi Gras parade schedule and the studio is so close to the parade route, we’ll be having these minis on the last Friday in January rather than Saturday. I can’t wait to see you!
Who’s coming to my studio to adopt a Salvation Army Christmas Tree Angel (and get your $50 print credit!)? Marina, my new office manager, or I will be there Fridays during regular pick-up hours from 3-6 pm, and I’ll be there on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 4th and 5th, from 10-5 both days. If you’d like to come any other time, just give us a call at 601-297-1793 and we’ll make sure someone can be there! Here’s how it works:
1) You come to the studio (Uptown on Baronne between General Taylor and Constantinople, at 3915 Baronne) and select a child, or “Angel”, on my tree. Each child’s card includes info like gender, age, clothing sizes, and something they would like from Santa this year.
2) You purchase gifts for your Angel. It’s totally up to you what to purchase. So for example, I chose an 11-year-old boy (since it seems to me the older kiddos are picked last), and I got him a tent, a junior-sized football with pump and tee, a Spiderman comic book, and a warm down parka in his size — along with a few other not-fun-but-necessary items, like underwear, undershirts and socks. I also got him some packaged candy. I bought everything on Amazon since I’m WAY too busy to go shopping nowadays, so I probably spent about $125 on all of that… but you can spend a LOT less (or a lot more!). The little babies and toddlers are, of course, much less expensive to buy a full Christmas for! 🙂
3) Bring the unwrapped gifts and your Angel’s card back to the studio on or before DECEMBER 6TH. I have to deliver them all to the Salvation Army Headquarters by December 7th. Make sure each gift has your child’s name and ID code written on it where it’s EASY TO SEE and can’t fall off!
4) Get your $50 print credit to use on your next order when you drop off your gifts! And even better, get a warm fuzzy feeling from knowing you provided a beautiful Christmas to a child who otherwise wouldn’t have one this year.
I’m looking forward to seeing you!!! And FYI, I got my beautiful trees (one for the studio and one for home) from the First Universalist Unitarian Church on the corner of Claiborne and Jefferson. They’re open as of Saturday, so go by and get your tree! They are BEAUTIFUL, they smell SOOOOOO good, and they’re in such good shape, fresh with no holes once they’re unwrapped. They make a fresh cut at the base for you right before you haul it off, and they’ll tie it to your car for you as well. There’s even a Santa look-a-like manning the cashier’s table! 🙂
A couple more mini-sessions from Saturday!!!
Some fabulous shots from my French Quarter Holiday Mini-Sessions Saturday…LOVE all these clients! They are such great families, and such easy babies to work with. Not to mention gorgeous, each one of them, which makes my job a breeze! 🙂
We headed down to the Quarter on a Saturday morning to take these pictures for holiday cards, with the kids’ great-grandmother’s gorgeous frame. Jake, Sydney, and Hannah are some of the most entertaining, sweetest (when they want to be!), funniest, cheekiest kids on the planet, and I LOVE them! You can see from their pictures that they’re quite sassy. Syd was temporarily upset that I wouldn’t take her to a Level One Trauma Center for her mosquito bite that she picked at, making it “bleed,” and Jake was so sweet to her while he comforted her about it. Hannah is in a hysterical stage where she tries to imitate EVERYTHING her big brother and big sister are doing, down to their exact postures. It’s so funny to see in these photos! We finished the shoot with ice cream and Halloween jokes. LOVE YOU, CRAZY KIDDOS! Kisses, Aunt Livy
And below, Sydney on death’s door…and Hannah standing with her hands in her pockets because she sees Jake doing it…
Seconds later…Syd has forgotten her life-threatening injury and Hannah is now sitting with her arms crossed, like her big brother…
Here are a couple more holiday minis from last weekend… the L Family and the D Family. This picture of the L family is THE epitome of each member’s personality: laid-back Mom and Dad, mischievous-toddler JB, too-grown-up-for-these-antics Ella, and 90-miles-an-hour Sylvia. LOVE!
And here we have the D Family, who were fresh back from the state fair. Toddler Berrian had a toy plane that didn’t survive the session, but he didn’t seem to care if it was broken as long as he was holding it!
“There’s a circle on your shirt, Daddy…”
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE me some Bennett Blair!!!!! She’s such an AWESOME kid, and SO SMART!!! She has just turned two, actually this day was her birthday, and she was working on being able to hold up 2 fingers to show people how old she is now. After telling her ONCE that my name was “Livy” (it’s what my family and friends call me, and so much easier for a kid to pronounce than “Olivia”!) she remembered it for the rest of her mini-session, saying, “Come on, Miss Wivy, wess go fine some cows!” (Let’s go find some cows, for those of you who don’t read toddler.) We were in a pecan orchard, but Bennett Blair was determined that there were some cows just around the corner, and she was too absolutely sweet and adorable for me to break it to her that there was not a bovine in sight. (Instead I told her they were already in bed for the night.) She has the most cherubic little grin, and I loved every minute with her!!!
There are still a few spots left in my Holiday Mini-Session schedule this year! Here’s the info…call 601-297-1793 to book!
